Ambulances
GERMS owns two duty rigs and is investing the purchase of a third ambulance for sometime in 2010.
In order to become an ambulance driver, members must complete a 25-hour emergency driving course
and pass their written and driving tests. The course encompasses various skills, including knowledge
of on- and off-campus locations, comfort with the dimensions of the ambulances, and backing safely
through intersections. Georgetown’s Office of Transportation Management services both ambulances.
